You can use a spreadsheet such as Microsoft Excel to edit your existing Road Trip data. This is useful if you want to make a large number of edits to your data, or if you want to merge two sets of data.
Road Trip’s CSV file contains all of your vehicle’s data and settings. The file is divided into multiple tables:
You are free to add, remove, or edit rows in any of the tables. Do not remove any of the tables or reorder the columns.
You do not have to add rows in any particular order. The rows will be sorted automatically by date and odometer.
When adding new data, the Flags column should always be blank. Most other columns are optional and can also be blank.
When you are finished editing, you will need to save your data in CSV format.
Use the Road Trip CSV Importer to import your CSV file.
The importer should indicate that it has found Road Trip CSV data.
Verify that the data format is correct, then click the Import Data button.
The importer will generate a .roadtrip file that contains your data. Click the Download button to download this file.
Once you have downloaded your data you can send the file to your iOS device by email, or by simply copying the file to your iCloud Drive.
Send the .roadtrip file to your iOS device as an email file attachment. On your iOS device, tap the file attachment and choose Road Trip from the share menu.
Copy the .roadtrip file into a folder in your iCloud Drive. On your iOS device, use the Files app to locate the file. Tap on the file to open with Road Trip.
