How do I transfer my existing Road Trip data to a new iPhone?
There are multiple ways to transfer your data to a new iPhone:
- Dropbox or iCloud Sync
- iPhone Device Backups
Dropbox or iCloud Sync
We recommend using Dropbox or iCloud with Road Trip. Road Trip will automatically backup your data on-line, and it’s easy to restore or transfer your data to a new iPhone or iPad.
It’s easy to set up iCloud Sync in Road Trip:
- In Road Trip, select More > Sync and Backup and choose iCloud as your syncing service.
- Enable the iCloud Sync option.
- Select Sync with iCloud. This will send your data to iCloud.
Road Trip will continue to sync with iCloud automatically.
To transfer your data to a new device, simply repeat these steps on your new iPhone or iPad.

You can email your Road Trip data to a new iOS device.
To email your data, select Sync and Backup > Email This Vehicle and send the email to your new iOS device. The email will contain a file attachment that contains your data. Open this file attachment on your new iPhone and select Open with Road Trip.

iPhone Device Backups
You can use an iPhone device backup to transfer your data to a new phone. iPhone device backup will contain all of your apps and data, including your Road Trip data.
